Grace is a gift from Heavenly Father given through His Son, Jesus Christ. The word grace, as used in the scriptures, refers primarily to enabling power and spiritual healing offered through the mercy and love of Jesus Christ.

Christian quotes about grace

“Grace carried me here and by grace, I’ll carry on.”

“Grace is not simply leniency when we have sinned. Grace is the enabling gift of God not to sin. Grace is power, not just pardon.” – John Piper

“I am graven on the palms of His hands. I am never out of His mind. All my knowledge of Him depends on His sustained initiative in knowing me. I know Him, because He first knew me, and continues to know me. He knows me as a friend, One who loves me; and there is no moment when His eye is off me, or His attention distracted for me, and no moment, therefore, when His care falters.” J.I. Packer

“Grace means undeserved kindness. It is the gift of God to man the moment he sees he is unworthy of God’s favor.”  – Dwight L. Moody

For grace is given not because we have done good works, but in order that we may be able to do them. St. Augustine

“Grace is but Glory begun, and Glory is but Grace perfected.”  – Jonathan Edwards

“Grace means that all of your mistakes now serve a purpose instead of serving shame.”

“I believe that there are essential tenets of the faith that must remain infallible – namely the resurrection of Jesus as atonement for our sins and the doctrine that we are saved by God’s grace through our faith.” Al Bynum

“If grace does not make us different from other men, it is not the grace which God gives His elect.” Charles Spurgeon

“Good men do not always have grace and favor, lest they should be puffed up, and grow insolent and proud.” John Chrystostom

“Grace, like water, flows to the lowest part.” – Philip Yancey

“Grace is God’s best idea. His decision to ravage a people by love, to rescue passionately, and to restore justly – what rivals it? Of all his wondrous works, grace, in my estimation, is the magnum opus.” Max Lucado

“Most laws condemn the soul and pronounce sentences. The result of the law of my God is perfect. It condemns but forgives. It restores – more than abundantly – what it takes away.” Jim Elliot

“We believe, that the work of regeneration, conversion, sanctification, and faith, is not an act of man’s free will and power, but of the mighty, efficacious and irresistible grace of God.” Charles Spurgeon
