For those that are believers in Jesus Christ (Church), will be joined in marriage with Christ in Heaven when we are gathered together.
Ephesians 5:25–27,
25 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for
her, 26 that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the
word, 27 so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or
any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.
Christ is the Bridegroom and the church will be united with the Bridegroom and the official “wedding ceremony” will take place and, with it, the eternal union of Christ and His bride will be realized.
Revelation 19:7–9 7
Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for marriage of the Lamb has
come, and his Bride has made herself ready; 8 it was granted her to clothe
herself with fine linen, bright and pure” for the fine linen is the righteous
deeds of the saints. 9 And the angel said2 to me, “Write this: Blessed are those
who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These
are the true words of God.”
Believers in Jesus Christ are the bride of Christ, and we wait and yearn for the
day when we will be united with our Bridegroom. Until then, we remain faithful
to Him and say with all the redeemed of the Lord, “Come, Lord Jesus!”
Revelation 22:20 He who testifies to these things says,
“Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
