Ben Peterson is an eight-year Army veteran who served two years in Iraq, so he knows firsthand the trauma war can inflict on our troops. After he came home, he realized most Vietnam veterans never got the warm embrace and help they deserved. So he founded a nonprofit called Engage Your Destiny to help them heal. Don’t miss his inspiring story this on “Huckabee.” —– Watch Huckabee Saturdays 8/7c and again Sundays 9/8c exclusively on TBN View full Huckabee episodes for free on the TBN app: https://watch.tbn.org/huckabee Shop Huckabee merch now: https://shop.huckabee.tv/ Connect with Mike Huckabee: https://www.facebook.com/mikehuckabee/ https://twitter.com/GovMikeHuckabee Stay updated with Huckabee On TBN: https://www.facebook.com/HuckabeeOnTBN/ https://twitter.com/HuckabeeOnTBN https://www.instagram.com/huckabeeontbn/ —– #Veterans #Vets #BenPeterson
In some ways, Ben Peterson has always been in combat. He grew up in an abusive home and faced bullying at school. Anger and rage ensued, producing a desire in him to fight back. After serving as an assistant chaplain in the Army and battling PTSD, Ben found himself in a destructive cycle – and considered ending his life. Watch his story to see how he discovered a new sense of purpose.
But Ben’s story doesn’t end there. God gave him the vision to honor Vietnam veterans who never received the tribute they deserved after returning home from the war. That vision has culminated in the Heroes Honor Festival, a celebration happening on Memorial Day weekend 2022 at Daytona International Speedway.
